Efiwe Accepted into the Ventures Platform AI Foundry

Efiwe has been selected to join the Ventures Platform AI Foundry, a 9-week technical programme for founders and technical leaders building production-ready AI products for African markets. Ventures Platform, one of Africa’s most active early-stage investors, runs the AI Foundry as a small, selective cohort designed around a single premise: that building AI for African markets requires more than good intentions. It requires technical rigour grounded in the realities those markets actually present, such as multilingual users, informal economies, unreliable infrastructure, and devices that most global platforms never design for. The programme pairs founders with world-class AI practitioners across nine structured sessions covering AI product strategy, data readiness for low-resource environments, model selection and cost analysis, system architecture, AI safety and security, MLOps, and product economics.

Efiwe Now Supports 246 Languages — With 57 New Languages

Efiwe has added 57 new languages to its platform, bringing total language support from 189 to 246. The expansion is the single largest in Efiwe’s history and extends across every layer of the platform: the core web application, the Open API, the JavaScript SDK, the Facebook Messenger bot, the WhatsApp bot, and Efiwe Zero; the SMS-based learning experience for feature phones. Efiwe already supported 189 languages when it reached 11,000 learners across 139 countries in May 2026. That coverage had made it one of the most linguistically inclusive coding education platforms in existence. This update pushes that further still, adding languages that include Tibetan, Tok Pisin, Wolof, NKo, Tuvan, Yakut, Dari, Ossetian, Meadow Mari, Santali, Kokborok, Venetian, Faroese, Marshallese, Tongan, Jamaican Patois, Zapotec, Tumbuka, and dozens more spoken by communities that have historically been invisible to the global edtech industry.

One Click Adds Application Tracker and Interview Prep Mode

One Click has been updated with an Application Tracker that automatically logs every auto-filled job application and lets users manage their full job search pipeline, an Interview Prep mode that generates AI-powered interview questions from any job description, and full integration with Efiwe’s newly launched Python course so verified Python skills are reflected in applications and cover letters. Efiwe today announced three significant upgrades to One Click, its free AI-powered Chrome extension for job seekers. The updates introduce an Application Tracker for managing the complete job search pipeline from first application to final outcome, and an Interview Prep mode that transforms any job description into a personalised set of likely interview questions.

Efiwe Upgrades Battery Saver Mode to Conserve More Battery

Battery Saver Mode now does significantly more when activated, eliminating every resource-intensive visual and audio element across the platform to maximize battery conservation and performance for mobile learners on critically low power. Efiwe today announced a major upgrade to Battery Saver Mode, the battery-aware feature that automatically activates when a device’s power drops to 10% or below. The upgrade expands what the mode does when triggered, moving well beyond its original scope of disabling typing animations to now suppressing confetti effects, silencing all sound effects, disabling automatic code and preview scrolling, and freezing every CSS animation and transition running anywhere on the platform.
