Efiwe AI has joined the NVIDIA Inception program, NVIDIA’s program for startups building with AI and accelerated computing. For many companies, Inception is a starting point. For us, it formalizes a relationship that already lives in our code.

Efiwe exists because talent is everywhere, but access to coding education is not. Many of our learners code on low-end phones, with limited data and intermittent power. Every technical decision we make starts with them. That is why Efiwe runs on two AI models. Efiwe 1.5.1 (TensorFlow-based) runs entirely on the learner’s device, so it can grade code and give feedback with no internet connection at all. A learner in a classroom without Wi-Fi still gets a tutor.
When a connection is available, Efiwe 2.0 takes over, and NVIDIA Nemotron leads it. Nemotron 3 Ultra and Nemotron 3 Super handle the heavy work of explaining multi-step bugs and reasoning across long code. Faster Nemotron models (such as Nemotron 3.5 Lightning and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni) back them up, and a routing layer sends each request to the best model available so learners are never left waiting.
We chose Nemotron because it did well on the thing we care about most. Beginners need feedback that is clear, patient and correct, not just clever. In our testing on real learner code, Nemotron consistently delivered that. Inception gives us room to go further. We are exploring NVIDIA NIM to make Efiwe 2.0 faster and more reliable as more schools come online, and NeMo to tune our tutor to how beginners actually learn. That same work could help us train smaller models that run on the phone itself, narrowing the gap between our online and offline experiences.
More than 21,000 learners in 158 countries now use Efiwe, in 246 languages plus sign language. World-class AI should not stop where good connectivity ends, and Inception helps us bring it further. Thank you to the NVIDIA Inception team for welcoming us. We are just getting started.
