Efiwe Group Accounts have existed for a while. Schools, NGOs, bootcamps, and community organisations have been using them to enrol learners, track progress, and run structured coding programmes entirely on smartphones (no laptops and no computer labs). The dashboard has been quietly powering some of the most ambitious coding education programmes happening in Nigeria and India right now.

But Group Accounts had no structure beyond the basics. Any group, regardless of size, ran on the same setup: one admin, sub-admins, a progress dashboard, and not much else. There was no way to give a serious cohort the learning experience they deserved: unlimited lives, instant certificates, and an ad-free environment, without each member finding their own way there individually. And there was no way for an admin to bring new people into the group directly from the dashboard.
That changes today.
What’s new: three tiers, built for how groups actually work
Group Starter (Free, forever): Everything that existed before, now with a clear name and a clear promise. Group Starter is free, forever. It supports up to thirty learners and gives the group admin a full dashboard to monitor progress and performance. It is the right starting point for small pilots, trial runs, or anyone exploring what Efiwe can do.
Group Pro: Group Pro is built for organisations that have moved past the pilot stage and are running something real. It supports up to 300 members and up to 3 sub-admins, meaning the group owner can bring in teachers, coordinators, or co-facilitators to help manage the cohort. Every member of the group, including admins and sub-admins, gets unlimited lives, so wrong answers never trigger a game-over screen. Every member gets instant certificate access upon completing a program, included with the plan, no separate purchase needed. Every member also gets unlimited access to Efiwe 2.0, the cloud AI tutor, with no cooldown between uses (back to back), across every challenge. And every member’s experience is completely ad-free. For an organisation running a structured programme, this means the learning environment is consistent for everyone. No one hits a wall mid-challenge. No one finishes a program and has to wait to access their certificate.
Group Pro Plus: Group Pro Plus is designed for larger, more complex operations. It supports up to 600 members and up to 6 sub-admins. Everything in Group Pro is included: unlimited lives, instant certificates, unlimited Efiwe 2.0 access, and an ad-free experience for every member. The difference is scale: bigger cohorts, more administrative structure, and room to grow without hitting a ceiling.
Sub-admins, now with plan-based limits
Sub-admins have always been part of Group Accounts. The ability to add trusted co-administrators (teachers, coordinators, facilitators) to help manage a cohort alongside the primary admin has existed from the start. What is new is structure. Group Starter no longer includes sub-admin slots. Group Pro allows up to three. Group Pro Plus allows up to six. This gives growing organisations a clear upgrade path as their programmes scale, while keeping the free tier straightforward for smaller, simpler setups.
Sub-admins are added by email address and need to already have an Efiwe account.
The Invite button
Also new on the dashboard today: a dedicated Invite button. Group admins can now send email invitations directly from the dashboard to anyone they want to bring into their group. The invitation includes the group’s unique invite link, so recipients can register and join in one step. No more copying and pasting the link manually into a separate email.
Member limits are enforced at signup
When a group reaches its plan’s member cap (i.e. 30, 300, or 600), new learners trying to join via the invite link will see a clear message explaining the situation, with guidance on what the group admin can do next. No silent failures, no ambiguity. This applies everywhere a learner can join a group.
Certificates and lives: how it works in practice
For members of Group Pro and Group Pro Plus groups, the certificate and lives experience works the same way it does for individual Efiwe Pro subscribers.
Lives: Wrong answers do not deduct lives. The game-over screen never appears. The lives counter fades to grey (a quiet visual signal that this mechanic simply does not apply to you right now). The challenges are still the same, however, the psychological pressure of running out is not.
Certificates: When a member completes a program, their certificate is ready immediately. From the group dashboard, the admin can see certificate status for every member and download certificates directly. There is no separate purchase step, no waiting.
Efiwe 2.0: Every member of a Group Pro or Group Pro Plus group has unlimited access to the cloud AI tutor with no cooldown. Use it as many times as needed, on any challenge, back to back. This applies to regular members, sub-admins, and the primary admin alike.
This applies to everyone in the group (regular members, sub-admins, and the primary admin) for Group Pro and Group Pro Plus: unlimited lives, instant certificates, and unlimited Efiwe 2.0 access.
The group dashboard, updated
The group dashboard now surfaces the current plan prominently at the top, alongside a clear summary of what it includes. Primary admins see an Upgrade or Manage button depending on their current plan. The Manage Plan modal lets you compare all three tiers side by side, switch between monthly and yearly billing, choose your preferred currency (auto-detected by location, with a manual override), and pay through Paystack, Razorpay, or PayPal depending on where you are in the world.
Cancellations are handled gracefully: if you cancel a paid plan, your group keeps its benefits until the end of the current billing period. The plan only reverts to Starter when the period fully expires.
A note on pricing
Group Pro and Group Pro Plus are priced to be accessible for the organisations Efiwe was built to serve. Yearly plans are billed as a single payment equal to ten months; the same logic as Efiwe Pro for individual learners. Prices are displayed in your local currency and converted from base rates using live currency exchange data.
Getting started
If you already have a Group Account, open your dashboard. The new plan section is waiting for you at the top of the page. If you are setting up a group for the first time, visit efiwe.com/register, select Group as your account type, choose your group size, and follow the steps. The registration page will suggest the right plan tier based on the group size you select.
Once your group is set up, share your unique invite link. Every learner who registers through it is automatically added to your group, and their progress becomes visible on your dashboard immediately.
