Efiwe Expands Curriculum and Features, Strengthens Global Footprint with Physical Registration in India

A new coding education platform is changing how people learn to build websites in some of the world’s fastest-growing tech markets. Efiwe, which launched just two months ago, has already attracted over 3,000 learners from more than 90 countries with a simple promise: turn any smartphone into a coding classroom — no internet required.

Today, the company announced its latest program on CSS, expanded language support to 189 languages, and an official business registration in India. The timing matters. While coding bootcamps and online programs have boomed in wealthy countries, four billion people worldwide still rely on smartphones as their main way to access education and work opportunities. Most existing platforms require constant internet connections, are only available in a handful of languages, and cost more than many families can afford.

Efiwe is designed specifically for these learners. The entire platform runs offline once downloaded. Lessons adapt to each learner’s pace using artificial intelligence that works directly on their phone, with no data needed to be sent to the cloud. And it’s available in languages from Hindi to Hausa, Spanish to Swahili.

“We’re not bringing Silicon Valley to emerging markets. We’re building something better suited for how people here actually live and learn,” said Abhinav Negi, who has just taken on the role of CEO and co-founded the company with Chidi Nwaogu. “A student in rural India shouldn’t need fiber optic internet or fluent English to learn the same skills that lead to jobs at tech companies.”

From HTML to CSS: Building Complete Skills

The new CSS program follows Efiwe’s HTML module, which launched in August. Together, they teach the fundamental building blocks of web design through hundreds of interactive challenges. Learners practice creating layouts, animations, color schemes, and mobile-friendly designs. The programs are structured like a game, with levels to complete and instant AI-powered feedback when you get something wrong.

Early results suggest the approach is working. A recent study of learners who used the HTML program found that 89% rated their experience as excellent or perfect. The same percentage said the gamified challenges kept them engaged and that they felt confident building websites on their own after finishing. Nearly everyone — 96% — said the app worked smoothly on their device. Every single person surveyed said they would recommend Efiwe to friends.

“When one of our first learners told us, ‘If we face any problem, Efiwe itself helps us,’ that captured exactly what we were trying to build,” said Nwaogu, now serving as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. “The AI doesn’t just grade your work — it understands what you’re trying to do and guides you toward the answer.”

Learning Through Challenge and Recovery

To keep learners motivated, Efiwe recently added features inspired by behavioral science and game design. Users now build streaks for correct answers and daily logins. There’s also a life system: everyone starts with 200 lives, which decrease when the learner submits wrong answers. Once they run out, they can either wait 3 hours for lives to refill automatically or purchase more to continue immediately.

The philosophy behind this design is that mistakes are part of learning. Each wrong answer is a chance to try again and understand the concept more deeply. Early testing shows these features have increased how long people spend on the app and how often they return by more than 40%. “We want to build resilience, not just teach code,” Negi said. “Every mistake makes you stronger. Every retry turns a challenge into a skill you own. That’s how real mastery happens.”

Credentials That Employers Can Trust

Completing an Efiwe program now comes with a verifiable certificate. Each certificate includes a QR code that employers or schools can scan to instantly confirm its authenticity. For training programs and educational institutions, the company has also launched a dashboard that lets teachers monitor student progress.

These features address a common problem in online education: how to prove real learning. Paper certificates can be faked, but Efiwe’s QR verification makes credentials trustworthy without requiring complex background checks.

One Vision, Global Reach

Starting in Africa, Efiwe now operates as a registered company in Asia, under Efiwe AI India Private Limited, marking a major step in its international expansion. India represents an enormous opportunity, with the world’s largest population and a rapidly growing tech sector.

The founders’ partnership reflects a cross-continental vision. Negi and Nwaogu first met in 2019 at the Better Together Challenge in South Korea. Negi brings experience in public policy and social innovation, while Nwaogu is a software engineer and tech entrepreneur. Together, they saw a gap in the market: platforms built in San Francisco and London weren’t serving billions of potential learners in Asia and Africa.

“The next wave of education innovation is going to come from the Global South, not from Silicon Valley,” Nwaogu said. “We understand the constraints our learners face because we live in these markets. We know what it’s like when the power goes out or data is too expensive.”

What Comes Next

The global market for coding education is worth more than $20 billion, but most of that value flows to learners who already have advantages like laptops, reliable internet, and English fluency. Efiwe is going after the other 40% of aspiring developers who have been left out.

The company plans to complete its front-end development trilogy in December with a JavaScript program. One-third of learners who finished the HTML module specifically asked for JavaScript next, making it the most requested feature. JavaScript is the programming language that makes websites interactive, and learning it alongside HTML and CSS gives learners a complete foundation for building modern websites.

“Our vision is simple,” Negi said. “Coding education should feel as natural and accessible as sending a message on your phone. It should work in your language, at your pace, wherever you are. That’s not just good business — it’s the future of learning.”

The CSS program is available now at efiwe.com/css. It works on any smartphone, runs completely offline after the first visit, and issues verifiable certificates upon completion.
