Efiwe is a mobile-first, AI-powered coding education platform that enables anyone to learn how to code directly on their smartphone. No laptop is required, no constant internet connection is needed, and no prior coding experience is necessary. Launched in August 2025, Efiwe was built on a single core belief: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
Since launch, Efiwe has reached over 15,000 learners across 150 countries, supports 246 languages plus sign language, and offers a complete six-course curriculum spanning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind, Python, and SQL. All of it is entirely free, entirely offline-capable, and entirely on a smartphone. The platform is also accessible via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and even basic feature phones through Efiwe Zero, an SMS-based learning bot.
Efiwe has been recognized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as one of the world’s “top startups leveraging AI to improve learning and upskilling”, shortlisted for the 2026 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation by the Royal Academy of Engineering, and shortlisted for HundrED’s Global Collection 2027.
The Opportunity
Efiwe is inviting organizations across countries in the Global South to apply as Implementation Partners to bring structured, no-cost coding education to underserved learners in their communities.
This call follows the success of Efiwe’s pilot programs, including a Teach For Nigeria collaboration across 10 schools in Lagos and Ogun State, and a newly launched partnership with the Lagos State Government’s Education District IV covering 5 government senior secondary schools.
We are now looking to expand this model to new countries and communities that face similar barriers: limited access to laptops, unreliable or expensive internet, and language exclusion from existing tech education resources.
Who Can Apply
We welcome applications from:
- Secondary schools and school districts / education authorities
- NGOs and youth-serving organizations
- Bootcamps and vocational training programs
- Community-based organizations and social enterprises
- Government ministries or departments of education
Priority will be given to organizations serving learners in low-connectivity, low-resource, or historically excluded communities across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
What Implementation Partners Receive
- Free access to Efiwe’s full curriculum (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind, Python, SQL) for all enrolled learners
- A Group Account with a centralized admin dashboard to monitor learner progress and performance
- Access to Efiwe’s AI tutor, available both online (Efiwe 2.0) and fully offline (Efiwe 1.0/1.5), so learning continues regardless of connectivity
- Native-language support across 246 languages plus sign language
- No-cost onboarding support for administrators and facilitators
- Access to Efiwe’s Open API and JavaScript SDK for organizations wishing to embed Efiwe’s coding challenges directly into their own platforms
- Opportunity to have program outcomes documented and featured in Efiwe’s Future Skills Program Report
What We’re Looking For in a Partner
- A defined learner cohort (minimum of 20–30 learners recommended)
- A facilitator or point of contact who can support learners through the program
- Willingness to share basic outcome data (completion rates, learner feedback) to help measure program impact
- Alignment with Efiwe’s mission of expanding access to tech education for underserved and excluded communities
How to Apply
Interested organizations should submit an Expression of Interest including:
- Organization name, location, and a brief description of your work
- Target learner group (age range, number of learners, and community context)
- Current access to smartphones/devices among your target learners
- A brief statement on why coding education matters for your community
- Contact person’s name, email, and phone number
Send your Expression of Interest to: partnerships@efiwe.com Or reach the team directly via: nigeria@efiwe.com / india@efiwe.com
